On March 31, 2025, the South Davis Sewer District sent a letter to the City of North Salt Lake announcing a new partnership with Opal Fuels for the Wasatch Resource Recovery (WRR) facility. Opal Fuels brings valuable operational expertise and financial resources to help address key challenges, including odor control.

Staff from the District and Opal Fuels have met with City representatives, with odor mitigation being one of the key focuses of the discussions. Initial improvements are already underway, and the District and Opal Fuels look forward to sharing updates with the community soon!
