Permit and Fee Requirements

The SOUTH DAVIS SEWER DISTRICT is responsible for collection and treatment of wastewater in the communities of Bountiful, Centerville, North Salt Lake, West Bountiful and Woods Cross. The District is a separate entity and not affiliated with any city or other utility, so sanitary sewer service approvals, permits and fees are not covered by city building permits, fees or engineering reviews. For developers, this also includes the installation of new sanitary sewer main lines.

Please contact the District if you are planning to:

  • install new sanitary sewer;
  • complete a commercial buildout/remodel;
  • convert a single-family residence to multi-family; or
  • connect or repair a building sewer (lateral).

The District will provide information on sanitary sewer requirements including, but not limited, to:

  • application fees and requirements for development projects;
  • residential impact fees;
  • non-residential impact fees and user rates based on plumbing fixture unit counts*; and
  • grease interceptor requirements for food service establishments and automotive service establishments.

*Plumbing fixture unit counts are required for all new commercial construction and remodels.
