Do You Know What to Do in an Emergency?

September 11, 2026
This September is a great time to prepare for the unexpected. Here in Davis County, we face the possibility of earthquakes, wildfires, and other emergencies. While we can’t always predict when a disaster will happen, we can take steps now to be prepared.
Having the right supplies on hand and knowing what to do during an emergency can help protect you, your family, and your community. So, to be prepared, Davis County will be hosting two emergency preparedness events this month:
Disaster Sanitation Town Hall
September 24 | 7:00–8:00 PM
Davis County EOC
851 W Clark Lane, Utah 84025
Learn best practices for maintaining hygiene and sanitation during an emergency. Proper sanitation is especially important when normal water, sewer, or other essential services may be disrupted.
Emergency Preparedness Fair
September 26 | 9:00 AM–4:00 PM
Western Sports Park
25 N Sports Park Drive, Farmington, UT 84025
Bring the whole family to learn more about emergency preparedness. The fair will feature fun activities, vendors, and information for all ages.
A disaster is not the time to start figuring out how to maintain hygiene, handle waste, or find essential supplies. Take some time this month to learn what you can do now to be better prepared!
